Yes 2" is plenty. Its not like a leaf spring where you have to worry about the tire rubbing when turning. The only thing it could contact would be the radius arms, and they should be far enough in with a fairly offset rim.

Picked up some 16.5" wheels today. They have 35x12.5x16.5 tires on them, but the tires are bad. I was just after the wheels.

Here is one mounted on one side of the 44:

Here you can see the very close clearance to the massive disc brakes on the 44! Can't fit anything smaller than a 16.5 inch rim!

Here are 2 of them on the 14 bolt:

And here I rolled the axle back to the back of the truck to get an idea of how wide it is. It looks wider in this picture because of the camera lense distortion, so for a reference, the edge of the rear bumper meets up with the middle of the tread on each side!

My garage is currently taken up by the 2wd thats in peices so I have no room. Plus, my truck will be too tall to get back out!!

LOL! Get rid of that 2wd Junk. Throw it outside. (Cover it with a tarp if you must.) Then you got room in the garage. Then when backing out let it ride on the rims. Or remove the wheels and place jacks under it to slide it out. That will give you clearance. JK Or better yet get the saw and cut you roof. Make it a convertible. Or cut up the garage. Gota make it bigger for future mods. Don't forget you got to make room for the twin post lift.

Hmmm... those suggestions don't sound a little drastic to you Felipe? :P

I can't put the 2wd outside. I live in a neighborhood with a stupid homeowners association and they were the ones who forced me to put it in the garage. If it sits in the driveway, it has to look like a working vehicle. Stupid rules. When I get my own place some day after college, its going to be out in the country where I can do whatever the hell I want in my own yard!!!!
