3.90 gears
which would i have a better chance in finding them in, a V6 or V8 and are there any specific years to look for
with the 33's the calculator says i should have around a 3.7x gears but if i can get the rears from a truck that has 3.90's in it id like to do that

LOL! Good luck. I would say 98% is 3.55. Your going to be looking for a Needle in a hay stack, looking for the 3.9. It was an option under both V6 and V8's. Your best choice is looking for one with the towing package (Not all of them include 3.9). Look for a hitch.
To buy new gears front and back is not to much. Maybe $150 each gear set, $30 for the install kit (Barrings ect.) The installation is the most Important part. It needs to setup correctly. If you take it to a shop the labor will be kinda high. If done by your self use the Factory service manual, it gives good detail and good pics to guide you. That is what I did to get my 3.9's.

ill way it out versus getting gears, which i also have been looking at. which are $236 through summit but i havent looked anywhere else

I would recommend to buy them from. http://www.ringpinion.com/
I would recommend you to look at this chart. http://www.4lo.com/calc/geartable.htm
It lets you see where your at/ be at.
So for me with 33's and 3.9's, I'm at better Gas Mileage. For more power, or back to stock you will need to go to a lower ratio. (Numerical higher number)
I don't have a factory tire so I can't tell you the size. But I would say get a tape measure and check. Every tire is different, even tire sizes and actual size is different.
