It takes three things for an engine to run. Fire, air, and fuel. I would take out the spark plug and see if there is any fuel on the end of it.
If there is than your getting fuel, next leaving the spark plug out reconnect it with wire. Have someone try turning over the engine with the key. Do not hold the plug or wire. If you see a spark than your getting fire.
If your not getting fuel Might need to change fuel filter and listen to see if your fuel pump is working. If it is not working than you could have a bad relay or fuse or the pump it self could be bad.
Start here and tells us what you find out. If your not getting fire than I have some more ideas.

i pulled a plug, forgot to check for fuel on it, but there was no spark. thats when i replaced the cap and rotor. but i checked for a fuel pump and didnt hear anything. but it would have fired when i put fuel in the throttle body right? so you would think spark. but im not sure. and i know the rotor is still spinning so i know the distributer is operating right.

Yes it does have a crankshaft sensor. First of all there are TONS of possibilities of why it wont start. Like said above you need to narrow it down to Ignition or Fuel. So have you checked your fuel pressure? Did you check to see if the ASD and Fuel pump Relays are working? Did you get any check engine light codes? Did you check all your fuses? Did you look over all of the wires and check for bad spots? There is the notorious splice that is just below the relay box that causes similar problems. Check that.

well i just replaced the ignition coil, and still nothing. i know its an ignition problem. i checked the fuses and they look good, i dont see any splices in the wiring under fuse box but i still have to look a little deeper. still open to suggestions. This really has me frustrated!!!

This is the post we have in the FAQ. Did you check if you are getting spark. Not just replacing a coil will tell you.
