good to know. I'm going to change the oil again anyway and I'm going with amzoil so 4 quarts is almost 9 bucks cheaper.
Also, I've heard about going up to thicker weight oils based on mileage due to engine wear, a guy told me I should use 10-40 rather than 10-30. Have you heard of this?

I don't really see a reason to use a thicker oil cause it has high mileage. Either way with w30 or w40. You'll still get an oil bearing.
