Long bed to short bed swap info..
Um... no offense, but if you're talking about what I think you're talking about, thats gonna look really stupid. Your rear wheels are basically going to be at the very back of the truck. You won't have the turning radius of a real RCSB.
I agree with issakar, build a wood flatbed.

I'll get someone to photoshop it... See how it would look. I'm just throwin' out ideas...
Or get a short bed frame and swap frames. Or chop off a long bed frame and measure and put it exactly the same spot. Then you can use the long beds drive-shaft, fuel lines ect. IMHO if you want to do go for it. Just plan it all out, make sure you have the time and space and ALL the nessary parts first.
Long beds never came on Club Cabs. So he has a single cab with a long bed.
Just get a short bed from a junkyard truck. Then you just got to measure and cut the frame in the right place to keep the mounts in the correct places. Then weld it back together and weld in some side plates on top of the cut section to reinforce it.
Don't forget to get a shorter drive-shaft and cut the brake line, fuel line, E-Brake cable wires ect.
I always wanted a long bed on my Club Cab.

LOL! Ya our turning radius sucks. Well my truck is not a mall cruiser. But the point is. The bed is what makes a truck a truck and I use my truck as a truck not a car. So another 2 ft to haul would be worth it. As of right now my truck is loaded with tree branches. Tomorrow will be something else, next week will be cement.
I would love to be able to put a long bed on my truck. A short bed just seems such a waste. My '88 F150 was a ext. cab long bed, what a friggin land yacht but, I could put any standard 4x8 plywood, drywall, etc. in it and still close the gate and the camper top. I miss that utility. If I could weld, I would definitely try to put a long bed on mine.
