Angry Bad News....

Back to stalling again..... what did I miss?

I rechecked the r error codes.. I am getting:
11** Timing belt skipped 1 tooth or more from initial learned value, Intermittent loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor, No crank reference signal detected during engine cranking.

I am thinking it has to be the PCM... any idea what one of those should run me used?

Possibly the crank sensor, or the distributor is not in the correct position. Or the timing chain skipped a tooth.

the crank sensor was replaced last week and I have noticed some "crackle" and "popping" when it idles. Think I should just try setting the timing? (if it is even possible, I haven't set the timing on a vehicle in years.. so many don't have the ability anymore)

You can't set the timing it is controlled by the PCM. But you do need the distributor and wires inm the correct locations. Check the FAQ for how to do it.

I just called the local pick-a-part a few days ago, and they only charge 27 bucks for a computer. At that price, I'm going over asap. Maybe even get a spare if they have what I need.

I wish I still lived in Idaho.. LOL.. but in Iowa they seem to overcharge for everything, even used. And all the wires are in the correct order, I triple checked today. The cap, rotor, and wires have less than 5k miles on them. I am going to try and round up a PCM somehow and see what happens.
