Default 1989 Sport Convertible questions - decals and body lift

We have a 1989 Dakota Sport convertible and would really like to find reproduction decals for the truck. We have searched on the internet but have found nothing at all. Is there anywhere that these are being made?

My wife would like to have the Sport lifted a little. Is there anywhere that makes a 2 inch body lift for this truck? It is a 4X4 standard cab and a V-6. I saw that the suspesnion lift are really involved, so that is out of our minds.

Thanks for any help at all.

Doug

www.phoenixgraphix.com has the best selection of decals, OEM replicas and can custom make ones too. So if you can't find it send in a picture and have them make it look better.

A body lift is easy to install. You can find them at www.summitracing.com

Post up some pics. The Convertibles are rare to see.

These trucks are a little old for OEM parts (however, some still exist). You can repair or replace exterior components with a quick trip to the junkyard as some people take better care of trucks than others. I use rockauto for most parts, but OEM specs are just as good much of the time as long as the tooling is from Chrysler (for authenticity). Rechromeing parts is not as expensive as it would seem, and paint is just as cheap to refurbish your existing bumpers (assuming that your bumpers are typical black). I have not found a suitable grill supplier as of yet, but I am still optimistic.

Default decals in the works

Hey Wilt,

Yea we have had all of the stripes and names scanned in, so they are now ready for development. Development can sometimes be the most time consuming period because you want to make sure to get everything perfect before you move into production.

Thanks again,

Justin

For me no they are not that rare. Next to my friends house, (which I'm at every week) there is one. There is several around my city also several of the Lil Red Express packages. I only said they are rare because compared to all Dakotas they are rare as well as TONS of other people don't know they exist.

Oh ok, makes sense and I agree completely with why you say they are rare. Just the way you worded it, it sounded like you had never seen one. I have never seen a Dakota lil' red express, but I have seen a Ram lil' red express.
