Default 95 dakota 5.2 firing troubles please helpp!!

hello, is there anyone here who can help me. i have a 95 dodge dakota, that will not fire. i have tried a new coil, a pick up coil in the distributer, and a computer , none has fixed my problem. do you know what it could be?

If your not getting spark, then replace the crank position sensor. This is typical of higher mileage engines and next in line of replacement "things". Have you checked your fuel pressure?

Also make sure your fuel sync is on. If it is off the signals will not read one another and shut the coil down. Been there done that and the diagnosis was a PITA.

Did you already check the splice under the power distribution center in the engine compartment?

When you turn the key to the on position, do you hear the fuel pump priming the lines?

Are you getting any spark at all, or does it just turn over?

If you are getting no spark and cannot hear the fuel pump, most likely it is the splice.

we have checked the splice thats not it, were leaning towards the crank sensor but dont want to purchase one until we know for sure is there a way i can test this?

Pull the sensor and check for resistance.
