you can still run a V8 in 87-90 Dakotas, just use an electric cooling fan instead of the mechanical fan and you'll gain clearance to use a 318 or 360 easily.
Um, not exactly. The serpentine system is shallower than the V-belt drive system. Ask me why I know. The 5.2l and 5.9l is easier than the 318/360 variant. Plus, if "a" radiator is moved in front of the core support (or more forward), you could possible use a clutch fan or similar between the radiator and water pump. One cannot simply drop a v-belt drive chrysler v8 where the 3.9l was without consideration of the aforementioned. Again, ask me how I know.

Ok, thanks for all the info, good s***. And you are right no one want to see GM in place of a Mopar. I guess i'll just put the 3.9 in it sence finding anything bigger will be a issue were i'm at. One day though.
