Default need rim advice... in bad position :P

hey guys i need advice!!!

Just bought some 33s for my truck and had a wicked deal.

so got 33s and offset rims for a toy.... didnt think that it wouldnt fit as its 6x5.5

So....

will 33x12.5x15 fit stock rims and if i put spacers i should be good?

How about 6x4.5 to 6x5.5 adapters will that weaken my axle i believe they come as a spacer kinda no ?

or should i sell the toy offset rims and try and find the impossible 6x4.5 offset 15 inch rims.

Thanks all advice needed

The 12.5 will fit on the 6in stock rim, i have done it. But it does budge out a bit.

You can get wheel adapters to convert. The only thing is they are known for the lug nuts loosening. So you have to pull off every wheel ever so often and tighten the adapter than the tire on all 4.

New rims are not to bad, unless your a Chrome/DUBS lover. I got new rims from 4wheel parts for $55 each.

8in wide is good. There is different offsets. Just measure you stock rims and see if that is what you want. If you want more or less then add or minus it.

Im not good with stuff when it comes to this.

how would i measure offset?

right now i got 31-10.5-15 on my stock dakota rims. is there ne offset on that ? or are they 0

there 15x7 or 15x6

how would i measure the offset on my 15x10 rims

i know its deep dish so there negative offset right ?

more it goes in more it will stick out right ?

with 33s Im going to need it to stick out to clear no?

dont want ne thing rubbing.

If these would fit on my stockers and wouldnt need spacers life would be easy and cost me nothing ... but I was thinking I wouldnt be able to put on stockers and would rub the instead.

Spacers will prob cost me the same as offset rims :S

if u tell me i can fit them on the stockers and the truck im doing that :P

any ways post pics later of the tires

was checking stuff will not put on a 15x6 gonna grab some 15x8

Will a 15x8 automatically have a more negative offset then a stock 15x6 since it larger? or not necessarily?

would i be able to put 15x8 with 33x12.5x15 without spacers or never gonna happen?

think the pro comps i found locally had a 1" offset from stockers

The tires look sick.

Google can help with simple stuff, like "How to measure backspacing or offset"
Here is the first link that came up for me. https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html#backspace

Offset and backspacing are almost the same, they just use different datum points of where the measurement starts. Don't get them confused and don't mix the measurements.

Offset measures from the center of the rim to the mounting flange.
Backspace measures from the mounting flange to the back of the rim.

Most stocks are 3.5in. With the 12.5 in wide tire, it rubs on the frame when turning only at full lock. If you go with a rim with less backspacing it would help.

I would recommend staying away from spacer/adapters for everyday use.

cool thanks for the advice...

any ways for now the 12.5 r being put on the stockers... Im tight on money and sold my 31s lol.

So instead of the truck being on blocks the 33s will be on the stockers still i can grab some 15x8 with an offset of maybe 3"s.

Im pretty sure im going to need to cut my fender near the doors as I doubt it will clear.

I will put some pics later today when i get the tires put on

So bad news I put 1 tire on a rim to see the clearance ... not i cant even turn half way a believe it rubs on that big piece of frame near the front bumper on the passanger side.

Now i need to figure out this offset and backspacing stuff.

What backspacing or offset would I need if i want my tire/rim to stick out 3inches so i have 3 more inches of clearance in the wheel well?
