Ok I recently installed a new trany in my 94 318 dakota I broke the crank senor in the process I repaced it and the rod it's throwin an 11 and 22 how do I fix this?

So your getting code 11 and 22 is that what your saying?

Did you reset the computer after?

22** Engine coolant temp sensor signal outside the acceptable range

 

I just changed my trans too...thinking I may have the same problem...rolls over and tries to fire but just won't go...just kind of shakes and burps around...I sprayed starting fluid right down in the throttle body and still no go...pulled cap n rotor, cleaned up the contacts..still no go...

How do you change the CPS? I looked up a new one and it has a bracket on it...does the trans have to be pulled away from the engine to change it?

 

No just unbolt the 2 bolts and pull out.

 

Is that the sensor thats between the engine and trans on the passenger side, towards the top? Has the little notch for it?

 

Yes it is.

 

Well...that wasn't it...had it tested at autozone and it checked out good...
