oh ya and the problems begin! i was waiting for this, first thing in the morning took off the rear driveshaft (the 4x4 didnt engage properly and the tire chocks slid on tranny fluid) threw my foot under the tire to save my body and broke every toe on that foot lol. sorry had to tell you guys. but finding out that my front differential is suspended by the motor got me goin. im sorry but thats just dumb. im not sure if the mounting bracket off the motor mounts will work on the 360 i will see tomorow - waggin

Holly $hit! I would ask if your alright but your on here so I would say so. At least it wasn't worse.

Yes the motor mounts will work. All Magnums use the same exact motor mount holes.

Since it is IFS it is only driving the wheels and not supporting the weight of the vehicle.

haha no the injury hasnt stopped me yet though it hurts like biatchh (but i'v got some heavy pain killers for that ), i was only on cause it downpoored. but im ready to drop in the new motor. i cant use the v8 motor mounts but ya i put on the v6 bracket. the mounting position is offset on the v8 more to the front, so maybe by putting these v6 ones on it will shorten the lenth of the drivetrain so i dont have to shorten the driveshaft. anyhow i can almost hear that 360 barking in my sleep, im close fellas -waggin

p.s. just thought i'd let you know that today when the transfer case got hung up on the crossmember the engine hoist pulled the truck forward onto the broken foot. oh ya rolled right over it. wouldnt be doin it right if somethin didnt go wrong!

hello fellas, i ran into a problem with the oil pan some said i have to use the v6 one on the v8, but they are different lengths. how do i go about this? this ones got me stumped, unless maybe i need to get the one for a dakota v8 just thought of that. also will i need an oil pickup to match the more shallow oil pan?

Whoever told you to use the V6 oil pan is not only retarded, but went full retard. The Durango/Dakota V8 pan is the one you want (4x4), and obviously you will need the pickup from said pan.
Was this a real question or are you being funny on pain meds?

pain meds? YES lots thank god. but i read on some thread they said to use that oil pan and ya that makes no sense. i ordered the one for the dakota v8 yesterday. that and i think i need the motor mounts off the v8 dakota as well. the 360 mounts dont have the bracket for the front diff the oil pickup from my 3.9L v6 was the same part number as the v8 one on rockauto.com

So I'm assuming you got the 5.9 in. Well post up pics videos and any tech related info for a V6 to V8 swap for others.
