Great news, then sad news. 36in tires!
Since the SAS the 33's have been looking small, I've been waiting to get larger tires till these 33's wear down, still like new tread (VERY deep tread).
Well I found a guy not to far from me selling 3 36x12.5R15 Super Swamper TLS/SE for $30. They all had 1/2in tread left, not bad.
So I had to find a 4th, found a 36x13.5R15 Super Swamper Irok, it was a spare tire so perfect tread just like new for $80.
Here they are lined up waiting to be installed.
36x12.5R15 Super Swamper TSL/SE Next to my MudStar 33x12.5R15 tires.
Come last Monday morning I eagerly drove to the tire shop with my 36's.
Since I got a locker I need the rear tires to be exactly the same so those were to have the best 2 of the TLS. So we started on the Driver front. We got the Irock on, which took a long time to get the bead to seat correctly.
Then came the next tire, got it mounted, then went to balance it and it was way to off. The guy said the tire must be abused so bad it tore up the balance of the tire. He could put TONS of weights but one falls off and it will shake way to much. So I decided to at least to place them on the truck for a clearance test fit. It hit the frame preventing a good turn. It could be trimmed but not enough.
So the 36's had to come back off and the 33's back on.
At least the 33's have great tread. So I posted them up on Craigslist. Within 24 hours I had them sold. I paid $110+$15 for mounting $125 and sold them for $175 got a quick $50. I could of got way more but I wanted a fast sell.

Well that sucks. You made some money though. 10 a tire for those old TSLs. Thats a good deal I bought 3 75% 31 BFG ATs and bought a junk yard tire to match for 200.
Those tires really filled the gap on that pick-up though.
Where did it rub? I am putting parts together for an SAS and just curious on tire size with the swap.

That sucks about the clearance. I was going to run them little axles but didn't for that reason. I have no problem with my 39s at all with the 3/4 ton axles.
Glad i went big before starting small.
Good deal on the 36's aways good to make extra money.
ooo and just a side note my truck drove up the drive way the other day.
