The TBI 2.5 and the turbo 2.5 are different enough where you can't just throw a turbo on a TBI 2.5 and have it last. The rods are different (weaker in the TBI), the compression ratio is different (higher in the TBI), the exhaust valves are different (stainless in the turbo), fuel injection is different (TBI vs MPI), intakes are different (again TBI vs MPI), exhaust manifolds are different (need to hang that turbo), and the distributors are different (distributor needs 2 shutter wheels and a different hall effect). Your best bet is to get a turbo car donor vehicle that way you have the engine, wiring harness (you'll need to customize for your truck), and computer.

I have a 2.5 turbo engine in my '88 Dodge Caravan and I built my Dad a 2.2 turbo-charged '85 Chrysler T&C wagon.

My van ready for the track with the drag radials on, if it will ever stop raining on Saturdays so I can actually race.
