Lightbulb Custom Visor Lights

I'm going to pickup a visor for my Dakota, I was originally going to find one without lights but now I think I want them. There only appears to be one style with rectangular amber lenses on the front, which I want to change. I changed my amber turn signal lenses out for clear with amber bulbs and I wish to do that same on the visor but I would have to find some sort of a custom lens store online...the amber bulbs will be easy.

I think clear lenses on the visor will go good, I think it will make it look like more of a tougher truck with the visor lights:

In the meantime I may just remove the lenses, paint the reflector and install amber LEDs if I can find weatherproof ones...then cap them in the future with my custom clear lenses and when I say clear I mean frosted in some way like the turn signals not clear like glass; white lenses. There seems to be a lot of information online about casting your own lenses as well as company's.

Here is a photoshop I did with the visor lights (I also cut the corner marker and cleared the turn signals)

lol...when I get a vehicle I really like I spend alot of time looking for and researching for all the parts that I can find for that vehicle. And than this way I can let others know where to get some of those things that are hard to find items. I am glad I can help out others that are into the same things that are interesting too me.

Now that would be different. I have never seen the visor lights blink with the turn signal. That would be cool to see.... since there is 5 lights up top I would make the 2 outer ones blink and leave the center one solid.

We don't sound that far apart lol I came into this knowing nothing now I know my truck inside and out, I also started as a GM guy now Mopar is where my nuts are.

Exactly, but to do this I would need to add a second socket to the lens cups because they are not dual filament bulbs or sockets. If I used all LEDs I'm pretty sure I could save some room and just wire the second bulbs to the turn signal wires all running off the factory relay, fuse, etc. I'm also considering making my own retrofit projectors housed inside a 4x6 lens but then the lens would be completely non-functional for the projectors so I could put amber bulbs in the 4x6 lenses so that my headlights become turn signals not affecting the actual headlight projector in the center, sort of like when people use the halo headlight rings as turn signals only they wouldn't be rings they would be a large rectangle!

--EDIT--

I got bored and did some Photoshopping to show you what I mean with the headlight turn signal, see the 4x6 flip-up headlights? Notice how they mounted the projectors outside the lens and how the black area is unused inside?

Short bed; basically a Shelby Dakota without the 318. Moparnut38 has this same fast back and if I can get him to sell it I plan on buying it!

lol yea I think that will be my biggest challenge with building a replica..gunning for a carbed model and just swapping out the grill and lights..and many other things lol. best part about going older is that it gives the option to build an all out nasty smallblock V8. could do a 340 6-pack or a built 5.9
