No Air from vents

Default No Air from vents

Ive got an 89 dakota 3.9 and Im not getting air from my main vents...only for the floor and the defrost works...does anyone have a image of where check valvue is located on this...ive read other makes and model of dodge have same or simular problem....Thank you in advance for any help anyone can give me

check the vacuum line going to and from the plastic ball on the passenger side firewall. Well it maybe in a diff location in an 89 than where it is in my 92 and 93.

I don't have a plastic ball on my truck...do u have pic you can share I will check for vac line

I don't right now, but give me a day or 2 and I can get you one from my '92 (won't necessarily be the same).

The check valve can be a problem with no air to the dash vents while at mid-high RMP's. But if it is even not giving you dash vents even at idle then it is probably a loss of vacuum through some lines.

There is a sticker of the vacuum diagram under the hood, that will have the location of the check valve and the vacuum hoses.

the vacuum line for the heater controls runs off the booster in the earlier years. check over by it. next would be to look under the dash for the colored vacuum hoses to see if they are still connected(not sure where the exact locations are. its been a while since i had to fix mine)
