i have a 1996 dodge dakota and it was an automatic my brother -n- law and I decided to convert it to a 5 speed because the reverse went out on the automatic we got and have everything we need i believe. We have the manual transmission, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, slave cylinder and master cylinder when we started there there was a black piece on the flexplate everyone told us it was for the overdrive well come to find out its the Crankshaft Position Sensor and we had to buy a new one when we got all the parts put in and bolted down we went to start it and we have no fire and the fuel pump isnt working unless u take a wire and run it straight.. any suggestions on how to fix this and get the truck running?
fuses were checked and there good and the crankshaft sensor is there a way to get a conversion to where u can plug a standard one into it or would it b btr just to buy an automatic transmission and put back into it?
