i would highly not(!!!) recommend dueler a/t's lol i have them on my 4x4 ford and have gotten stuck more times in the snow than i have with my old honda odyssey(with bald tires). they also cant catch traction on the dry pavement when trying to pull my friends truck out of a ditch.
my dakota has bfgoodrich radial long trails on it(from the previous owner) and they've taken everything i've thrown at it. only reason i dont like them is because its just a fugly looking tire lol.
my friend had dueler(ht? or hvt? or something like that) on his truck and they worked great for one winter. he likes to do burnouts all the time so his tires dont last more than a season lol.
just my $.02

i dont know about the wearing. i have 6k miles plus whatever the previous owner put on them and they look like brand new except the starting of dry rot from sitting.
and i agree...eff the dueller a/t, only reason i have them is because i got them for $100 and my tires on my ferd were so bald they looked like slicks.
i had uniroyal liberators on my old dakota(cheap from the place i hate but am too poor to shop anywhere else) and they were really good in the mud/snow/rain. but walfart f****d my suspension up so they lasted about 6months
