You should get the initial fuel pump power up before the pcm looks for that signal and removes the ground.

What you can do to see if the pump is running off the ASD relay is pull the relay out and jumper pin 30 in the socket to pin 87 (called the ASD BYPASS). If the pump comes on, problem solved, it's wired to the ASD relay and does not need a Fuel Pump relay.

Ok so the asd bypass was good so it should all work once the engine is in and hooked. Thanks for the help.
