No I didn't. Mostly I park under a carport, so UV may not be too much of a problem. One of the winter's projects will be to buff & wax the Dakota, I'll get the lights and stuff waxed then. I replaced my tail lights about 4 1/2 years ago, and they still look like new. Wish I could find a new center brake lite bezel, I'd have them all shiny then.

I would be careful waxing the headlights. Most waxes say not to use on plastic.

OK I'm out there remove the top two screws and undo the light bulbs from the back but the bottom will not come free and I cannot see what is holding them. Any guidance please?

Also had one of those gut check discoveries. There is a lot of oil on the passenger side fender well and on the frame what looks like a puddle of oil. I expect not removing the filter from the crank bypass hose once I figured out that is where the plenum oil was coming from has put back pressure on it and blown the front seal outward. Haven't checked that yet, not interested in taking this thing apart while I have the other rig down.

There should be two screws under the top of the bumper for the bottom of the headlamp cover, or "door" as RockAuto calls them.

I saw that in my manual but I could not find them with the flashlight I had. I will get a better light next time.

Might need to loosen up the bumper and pull it down a bit then.

I got it. It was the light the screws were right there as soon as I could se em. EDIT- I forgot to mention I only had to change the reflector and turn signal light into the existing frame that you ahve to remove anyway, otherwise everything was present for it to work. The nuts for the reflector are an odd setup. The "screw" that they screw onto it actually smooth plastic and these funny looking nuts create threads as they are put on. Do not reef down hard on it once its tight. Oh yea there are onlt 3 nuts holding the headlight on and those cable things pull off. They are for adjusting the direction the light points with a torx bit

To get the screws back in I used a super magnetized long shaft phillips. Worked pretty well. I did loosen the upper grill screws so that the grill could pry upward and used a ratchet handle to kinda open up the gap between the bottom of the grill & the bumper. Didn't have to loosen up the bumper tho.

Love the bright new headlites!
