Default Nv3500 from 2001 dakota

Hey, Just looking for confirmation there shouldn't be any issue using a nv3500 from a 2001 Dakota with a 3.9 v6 for a manual tranny swap? It will be replacing my 46rh sitting behind a 5.2 in a 93 Dakota. I have a line on one and from my searching I think it should work just wanting to confirm. Thanks,

Yep, bolt right in, provided both trucks have the same number of drive wheels. PCM will whine about the trans stuff that isn't there any more though......

Two problems I ran into using a 2003? NV3500 in my 87 dakota
1. 4wd, the newer transmission did not have the bosses on the side to mount the transfer case shifter.
in short, if yours is 4wd make sure the 01 is manual shifted and not electric.
2. The 3.7 and 4.7 have the same bolt pattern to the motor, but the clutch cover is different. and this requires modifying the supports going from the diff. to the engine to the transmission.
