Default new update on 3.9 blown head gasket

well after getting the motor apart and relapping the valves i noticed a hair line crack inbetween the intake and exhaust valve so im either looking for a set of heads or going to drop in a 318

I have my hands on a 318 but i was told it was a wide bore 318 ? i never heard of that so any info on it would be great

Do you mean the old poly 318. Does it have a cast iron waterpump.

If you have a 92 like your name inplies then the magnum fuel injection stuff might not work well on that motor. Any questions on the 92 up stuff about v6 to 8 swapping, I would be more than happy to help.

i was told the 3.9 was the same block as the 318 minus two cyclinders ? is that correct ?

Unless you have a welder or want to pay $400 for custom mounts a 78 will not just drop in. You are right there is no wide bore 318.All 318 have the same bore spacing. They were thinking of the old big block 318, and you would not mistake it for a 74-78. The magnum motors mounts are between the 2nd and 3rd cylinder from the back of the block. So a 92 and newer 318 or 3.9 bolt in with no extra parts.
