Wouldn't be a bad idea to do ahead and change the 02 sensors. They are cheap.

Yep gonna try and do it this weekend. Maybe that’ll help with mpg.

Keep in mind, in the serious cold, and winter-blend gas, your fuel consumption is going to be higher than expected.......

Yeah I’ve been reminding myself of that lol. Was -15 on average here last week. It’s miserable.

On 98 V-10 went from around 11, to about 8.5 in the bitter cold....... and we hovered near zero, but, didn't get below very often.

My bad! Missed that on your list.

On the subject of gas mileage. I've never measured less than 15 mpg with my 3.9 even in the winter, but usually it hovers in the range of 16-18. Even measured 19 one time when I intentionally drove like a grandma for a couple hundred miles.
My driving is mostly back roads and state highways, a small bit of stop and go.

That’s about what I get to then. Yeah same for me all back roads. Always shift around 2k, usually just slow everywhere lol. Definitely not a speed racer truck lol.And yeah transfer case was easy. I’m definitely not a mechanic by any means but thanks to this forum and YouTube just about anything is possible. I’m contemplating on doing the differential myself. Transmission I’m gonna take it in to have oil changed just because there’s not a lot of room to do it. But compared to my 2014 town and country this truck is wayyyyyyyyyyy simpler

Yeah it is pretty cramped for the transmission. I've managed to spill a fair bit of oil on myself when changing it...the right tools go a long by way though.

Yeah true, the trucks are pretty much dead easy to work on. Got a few quirks but nothing major... sounds like you got a killer deal!
