01 Dodge Dakota not shifting correctly no bus on odometer

Default 01 Dodge Dakota not shifting correctly no bus on odometer

I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota started out with saying no bus on the odometer and a flashing shift indicator light now I have a problem with no shift indicator light and not shifting correctly any ideas feels like the trans is slipping now also happened in a matter of minutes

A sensor failed, or shorted out, and its pissing off the PCM. Start by unplugging the rear O2 sensor, if that ain't it, try the front. Work your way thru the five-volt sensors, until you cluster starts working again.

Will try that in the morning it's also throwing a p1698 code along with p0740. Any idea where to get a diagram of all the 5 volt sensors

Almost all of them are going to be five volts......

Check most of the sensors still coming up with code p1698 no CCD message from TCM could this mean the TCM is bad my scan tool will not connect to the TCM only the PCM

That's great.

So, which TRANSMISSION? Which auto? Manual?

I would presume "auto" since you ordered a TCM; but alas, the 2001 has the TCM integrated into the BCM, making it the primary ECU. (There's also a CTM for your generation Dakota/Durango.)

Well checking the codes it's still coming up with communication error still saying no CCD message from TCM so I figured it's one of the two computers the PCM looks new but not positive bought vehicle used
