Default I can SEE!

So.

I do a lot of electronics, used to do a LOT more, just fiddling around.

So I get bunchteen of catalogs from various places.

One place is Marlin P. Jones and Associates (MPJA.COM).

Recently I discovered they had these: http://www.mpja.com/36-Lumen-Super-B...info/31366+OP/

So, wanting light in the glove box and at the passenger footwell, I had a bright idea! (Pun not intentional, but left in ANYWAY!)

Since I had the lower half dash out painting it, I took 5 each of those modules, and put 5 in the glove box across the top, and five under the bottom of the dash.

I also used some 4-40x3/8" in the glove box, 5/8" under the dash. Plus used the stickey tape.

I will get pics after I get them back in.

But with a stand alone 12V PSU, BOY are they bright in there!

(I also have some spare BA5S adapters, to fit the glove box light socket, and some #194 adapters, to fit the passenger footwell light socket. That helps tremendously.)

Hey Ralph,

I was kinda laughing to myself about this post! My dakota is not a daily driver, and to top it off, I dont drive at night, unless I have to. What made me laugh, couldn't even place what the glove box light looked like, didn't even know we had lights in the foot wells!!
OH WELL still look forward to your pictures!

We have ... a socket for a light in the passenger footwell.

The LIGHT was, well, an option.

It's a #194 style light, but the bracket for the light is likewise an option.

Lower half dash is FINALLY back in.

Under dash lights, connected to the passenger courtesy light socket, work great and are BRIGHT.

Glove box light ... well, they'd probably work if the socket hadn't broken on me ... Am inquiring on replacing said socket through Brad's or Arizona Parts (both have stock, supposedly.)

My camera has decided to paint brighter light as pink fog, so I'm not sure when I'll get a pic.

Follow up:

FINALLY painted the glove box door and installed it.

Oops - my lights hit the bottom lip, so it won't open all the way.

Back to the drawing board.

They ARE bright in the footwell, though!
