Default Edelbrock fuel injection

So my buddy has a k5 blazer that he out an Edelbrock 4barrel fuel injection system on. However his engine has to many upgrades and the Edelbrock system just doesn't keep up with it. So he's going to donate it to yours truly.
i figure I'll need
1 an m1 intake without injector ports
Gasket kit
A way to adapt to the magnum coolant temp sensor
And some ki d of new distributor.
So I need some advice, what distributor would I have to use? A GM hei? Non hei?
What do I do about cam position and crank POS signals?
What am I not thinking of? Has anyone else done a kit like this?
I know fast used to have a kit that would work with our trucks but no longer

I'd call Edlebrock and see what they say first.

They do sell a dizzy for LA motors, which should work fine with the Magnum motor and the Edlebrock EFI system.

That's kinda what I was thinking, the l.a. distributors are everywhere and there's good performance ones out there. That was kinda the least of my worries. The main worries are crank and cam signals. Coolant sensor isn't no biggie I can just drill and tap the hole for a GM sensor. Then drill and tap a hole for my guage sensor. TV cable isn't a biggie, adjusting it would be a pain but it's doable. Cruise control might be an issue and I'd like to keep it.
the main thing is really just the damn cam and crank signals. IDK how I'd get a relucter wheel that's right or how and where I'd mount it. Really wish I could find someone that's done this

Keep your old crank sensor.

I'm not sure on the crank sensor; what does that Edlebrock unit need?

More accurately, what's the Edlebrock part number?

I'll find out. But looking around I found a few kits that are for the la motor, the main issue is the intake manifold, but if I were to get aftermarket heads from Hughes that are for the magnum but have the la intake bolt pattern....then I'd be set... I think.
ill see if I can get that p/n for you Ralph.

IDK it's just a thought. I'd love to be able to up my compression, add a cam and roller lifters and be able to tune to my heart's content. I mean even 300hp/330tq at the wheels and 18 to 22 highwaympg would make me a very happy person

You CAN buy Enginequest heads from Jegs and Summit with the LA pattern.

I'd find a good intake; order the EQ heads to match (they do sell a few Magnum pattern carb intakes), and work from there, if it were me.

Eq heads are great, but I might spend the extra and go with aluminum and smaller combustion Chambers to get the compression up. Magnums run hot as hell and are more prone to predetonation because of it, so if I can get rid of some of that excess heat and help with some heat transfer I might be able to up power without having to up my octane level.
as for the Intake... The kit I was just looking at for the la co mmeswith a very nice mpfi intake complete with billet rails, injector etc. And it's only 1800 bucks. Yeah that's allot but the computer and everything are already set up for the l.a.. my buddy's computer is for a sbc.
Be really nice to find someone that's done this

The edelbrock system is TBI, isn't it? With the LA style distributor, that may be all you need..... I don't think it cares about cam sensor signal. After all, the LA engines never had one......

The system he's running is this, but for Chevy so I'd have to probably pay to get the la maps for the computer.
the la kit I looked at was mpfi and came with everything, intake, tb, rails, injectors, o2 bung and sensor, coolant sensor and adapter, harness, fuel regulator, 7inch window mount tablet, etc
