Default Steering gearbox

I just replaced the steering gearbox on my truck and everything works as it should however with the wheels straight the steering wheel is not straight is there any specific procedure I need to do to get the wheel straight? Gearbox is centered equal amount of turns lock to lock each side. Just frustrating not having the wheel straight.

Get it aligned.

NOW.

GET IT ALIGNED.

When properly aligned, the steering wheel will be centered.

(Is this a 2WD or 4WD truck?)

It's a 4wd truck. Guess the best way would just to get it close by eye and take it to work to the alignment machine. Any tips on getting the adjuster sleeves to move any easier? They're just a little rusty from being in Iowa.

Doesn't matter what you do, too many easy avenues to break in. How did they get in this time? Break a window? Slimjim? Coathangar? (that actually works fairly well....)

Locked doors are simply not a deterrent so long as the windows are just glass.

Sadly all doors were locked so they either slim jimmed it or went through the back window since the latch was broken when I bought it. Definitely brave since it was parked right next to my bedroom window.

Won't help keep stuff from being stolen out of it, but you can find 4K PoE IP security cameras for what I find reasonable (how reasonable? About 10% of the price of replacing what was stolen out of my truck!) and NVRs are not that much anymore - well, not compared to what they USED to be.

Also, I have one of those solar powered security lights from Harbor Freight aimed to where my truck sometimes parks; it does wonders to keeping folks away from the truck.

That's actually a good idea to get a camera and security light guess it's part of living near a bad part of town for me going to have to look into that.
