I'm keeping the disc brake axle in mind, but that'll be down the road a bit, maybe a winter project.

Right now I've been all over the place with my projects, but I started to do some cosmetic stuff. Pulled the nice bumper off the black Dakota, cleaned it up and have it ready for the two tone Dak. Also ordered a roll pan for the black Dak.

I got the bumper coated with rust converter and painted the inside black. I'm going to be body lifting the two tone truck, so I'll need to modify the brackets to lift the bumper. I have extra brackets from another truck, so I'll probably just cut 45 degree slices and weld them back together 2" taller with pieces from the other brackets.

My buddy has a body shop and I've been bugging him about painting stuff for me forever. He finally lmk he has availability this week, so I hurried up and hauled the two tone over to his shop. He's going to be prepping and painting the hood, roof and fiberglass tonneau cover in PJN Moss Green Pearl. He's doing the silver stripes as well, but I'm not sure on that code as it wasn't on the jamb sticker. The rest of the green paint looks great still and this truck is gonna shine!

Once it's back I have a whole pile of parts waiting for it. 2" body lift, e-fans to fix the rad hose into mech fan after body lifting issue, 2.5" knockoff flowmeter exhaust with dual outlets w/18x4" chrome resonator tips, new headlight housings, led reverse lights for nighttime boat loading, a whole bunch of other stuff I'm sure... Getting excited for this truck now.

Also, I sold my last Buick and don't intend to get another any time soon, so I might need to change my name on here to something more applicable.

Yep it's a Leer fiberglass hard cover. It came with the truck when I bought it and was honestly a big part of why I wanted this one, I've never seen one like it before. It was paint matched originally, but wasn't quite exact. Plus it was peeling like crazy.

I'm hoping to get the truck back from paint early next week, then I can finish up the lift, exhaust and bumpers. Pretty excited to have a truly good looking Dak for the first time in years!

Went and looked at this 1992 V8 4x4 sport with 95k on it, but it wasn't as clean as I'd hoped, so I passed on it. Looks good with an Instagram filter though lol

He said he'd sell me the roll bar separately, so hopefully Ill have that soon to put on one of the others

Got the sweet light bar off that 92 Sport!

Set it on the 92 2wd V6 for now. Might leave it there after that one gets lifted and new tires, might move it over to the black Dak. It's factory too, has Dakota branded lens covers and was neatly wired into the dash.
