Murphy either hates me, or Loves Me Long Time.

After I did the run in the truck to check the advance, I parked it.

Didn't run it over the weekend otherwise.

Monday AM, it didn't start. Cranks great, but no fire.

Smelled fuel under the hood.

I was able to get a friend over, and found out that ... the fuel pump isn't working.

Fuel smell was a I Dunno ... maybe the evap canister.

So now I need to swap the fuel pump on my 1988.

I'm in quarantine at home. I'm waiting for my covid test results to come back but I have most of the symptoms. Think of the worst cold you've ever had. Then double it. It's worse than that. I was in the hospital back in 2016 for two weeks. I didn't hurt that bad before or after they cut me open.

Anyway, today I started feeling a little better. I did some yard work with frequent breaks to catch my breath. I found a bunch of stuff I forgot I had. I have an overgrown section of yard that I attacked with a trimmer, chain saw and mower. The neighbors dog is skittish around men due to being abused so I got a bag of treats and am slowly winning it over. Good lookinbg dog, and big enough to be a problem if she doesn't get socialized.

In closing, wear your mask. You REALLY don't want this. I had mine off in my lift truck and didn't know another guy used it that had Covid. It's sneaky stuff.

Masks help; they're not the perfect defense some would have it be. To be, it'd have to be part of a NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) hazmat suit. And you could never take it off until after full disinfection.

For ol'grouch's vector, they wouldn't have done much; sounds more like a disinfection, i.e., carried on surfaces.

(Further study strongly indicates that CoVID-19 doesn't stay in the air as much as it was first thought.)

They can't seem to make up their minds on that one..... I keep seeing conflicting studies on it. Best bet? Be paranoid. Wear your mask, wash your hands regularly, etc. I am a hermit under normal circumstances, so, my lifestyle really hasn't changed all that much due to covid.... I go out to eat less, and that's about it.

I wear a mask as they reduce the distance air borne droplets can travel. My infection probably came from my job. I'm a trouble shooter at work and I deal with issues with truck drivers. They come from everywhere and Friday, I had 20-30 crowded into a small room where we don't want more than 2 or 3.

Yeah, that doesn't sound a like a good idea at this point in time......

I'm lucky. At work, I hide back in the service area, and rarely need to deal with customers..... any machines we take in, or wiped down with disinfectant before I even see them.

The mask is mostly to protect others from you, as the transmission of this respiratory virus is mainly being done by asymptomatic carriers. The mask should cover your nose or it is not working at all. It is not difficult I wore them all day every day when I worked in the trades, you get used to it.You want discomfort get suited up to go inside a Nuke when laborers tape you up and seal you into it. Its a small thing considering you might prevent yourself from unintentionally killing people by doing it.
The protection a mask offers is passive. I agree with Ralph you probably got it by physical contact with a surface not via breathing it in. Not that it matters once you have it. Good you are on the mend.
