Transmission Band Adjusment
#11
While this is up I remember reading something a long time ago about an OE part (a cylinder about 2 inches long less than an inch in diameter) they made from plastic with O rings on it that doesn't seal as well as it could that has a metal after market replacement. Does anyone recognize what I am referring too? It is supposed to be a part right there when you change the filter.

Watched that vid then searched found this Page 57 seems to show what I am thinking of. The accumulator piston. http://shop.ukrtrans.biz/wp-content/...m=100,-164,512

BTW, here is that 3-4 accumulator spring I was referring to in an earlier post. Begins at 6:06 if you want to jump right to it. Truthfully, I have no idea what the damn thing does.

They have one for the 46 rh https://www.cascadetransmissionparts...pistonkit.aspx I notice it specifies 2-3 not 3-4 so maybe its a different part than the accumulator.

I think it is what the accumulator spring is holding in place. Your tranny has one. I'm sure that Cascade place will tell you exactly which one you need.

Wondering if this falls in the "If it aint broke don't fix it" category.

Looked at a vid. You would be correct. Not certain how easily that piston comes out. Seeing it has all those seals on it I suspect it will put up at least a little fight...unless the seals are wore down.
