Default where are they?

i am fixing my 1990 Dakota with a 2.5 liter and the vacuum lines are messed up. i am trying to figure out where the two solenoids are one is for the EGR and the other is for the purge solenoid. i am also missing the PCV check valve and the orifice that goes into the vacuum fittings. nobody sells them new and i haven't found any used.

The PCV check valve? Shucks, they're all over the place - but I'd stick with Mopar. Unless there's something besides the PCV valve itself you're talking about.

The orifice - yah, best deal there I've found was to fill a joint, then drill a 1/8" hole through it.

Do you have pictures?

And you don't have the VECI from under the hood?

You might try the plumbing of the 1995 2.5; it should be close. No guarantee.

The 1995 FSM is downloadable from the link in the FAQ here; for a 1990, you'll probably have to blow the $40 or so for one on disc.

The VECI should also show the vacuum routing. It does for the 1988 and the Magnum era motors.

Ah.

You never stated that, so nobody else knew.

But - that's one reason to order the FSM. It'll have what color wire does what.

Also, worst case, you get it backwards, you swap the vacuum lines or the connectors; the solenoids themselves are identical.

Presuming the color code didn't get screwed up from 1990 to 1995, the 1995 FSM page 8W-30-17 would have which is which.

OTOH, if the colors don't match, well ... at least it's a no charge download to look
