Oil leak
I had a slow leak on my 1995 Dakota 5.2, automatic, with 180,000 miles. I cleaned up the engine and transmission. It isn’t coming from the oil pan, oil sensor, distributor, or intake manifold. It slowly leaked from the bell housing. I replaced the rear main seal. I followed the recommendation to overlap the two halves of the seal about 3/8 inch. I’m pretty confident I oriented the seal correctly.
I have only driven it about 20 miles but it is still leaking from the bell housing when parked in the garage, more than before. Is it possible it takes a while for the seal to settle in and conform to the crank, or do I try replacing the seal again?

It's easy to screw up the rear main seal. You have the right idea there, I go a step further, and smear a little bearing grease on the contact part of the seal, as a dry start will wipe it out in short order.
