I watched a couple vids on those pneumatic brake bleeders. Very cool! Beats the hell out of the two man brake pumping method.

I’ll be doing a complete brake job this Fall.

What is the difference between chlorinated and non chlorinated brake cleaner besides one has it and the other doesn't? Why would I use one over the other?

Chlorinated brake cleaner was a bit more effective at cleaning, and would also kill various flying/stinging insects on contact. Of course, the EPA decided the chlorinated stuff wasn't good for the environment, and I had thought they had banned the sale/manufacture of the stuff back in the 90's...... Imagine my surprise when I tried to use it on a hornets nest, and all it did was **** them off.......

I downloaded the 1995 Field Service Manual for the Dakota from this forum a few years back after Ralph kept preaching about it (glad I did). I did not see one here for my 1993 Dakota but figure the 95 FSM will be close. Anyway, I was wondering if there is a separate section dedicated to torque specs in these manuals or are all the torque specs called out throughout the manual specific to the subject? Also, can the torque specs in these repair manuals like Chiltons or Haynes be trusted? I'm guessing they lifted them off the FSMs and reprinted them in their manuals. But I'm guessing.

Generally, torque specs will be at the end of any particular section, for the part of the truck you are working on. No idea how accurate Chiltons/Haynes are going to be.

Ahhh yes, you are right! Found it. Hard to read these manuals on a computer with a mouse. That PDF app is herky jerky.

Which PDF app are you using?

I like Foxit Reader (Free version for me) personally, but it's getting to be as bloated as Adobe Reader is alas.

Adobe. Hate scrolling and the thing jumps to the next page. Gotta believe there is a setting in there to stop that.

There isn't.

Try Foxit instead.
