If you go with making your own HF has a cheap set of pliers to make it easier and less likely you will kink it

I never messed with mine I just replaced the ends that go to rubber tubing. They were hard to unscrew without breaking the metal tubes. Two Wrenches and patience.

Obviously he will need to bleed his brakes. Good time to go around the entire truck and do a complete flush. If you recall HY, I couldn't get my brakes to bleed to save my life. Pneumatic, two-man, nothing worked. I was convinced I had a leak somewhere. Then our late friend Ralph suggested a gravity bleed and that did the trick. I believe you encouraged me to follow up with a two-man to get any trapped air. That yielded a tiny bit more air to escape and the brakes have been flawless since. I ended up with pretty much a new brake system. Only thing I did not change out is the booster, ABS, proportional valve, and front-to-back brake line. A couple months ago some lady pulled out in front of me from a side street. I was doing 55 and had to stand on the brakes. Smoked the tires and fortunately for her I was able to jerk it in the oncoming lane and avoid her just barely. Good thing there was no traffic. I woulda killed her if there were cars coming the other way. My only choice would be to T-bone her. But I got to thinking, my ABS did not activate (might explain why I smoked the tires too). I have rear ABS only. I think ABS systems have a shelf life on most vehicles.

Yeah, ABS has value but I don't think they've ever been built to last. Guessing they're more computer controlled now vs on my '93.

Thank you everyone for your input and guidance! I was able to buy the line and a cheap bending tool and got my line made, bled all my brakes and it's like I've got new brakes again.

A sincere thanks!!!
