Absolutely fella’s next is to figure out my weird Idle problem. Truck when started just revs up past 2000 rpm’s and then drops and goes back up again and Again. Sometimes at a stop light it will rev up and I have to hold the breaks down so it doesn’t take off. I ordered a map sensor and a tps sensor I’m going to start there. I checked vacuum lines I can’t see any bad but I may be wrong. Just waiting on the parts to come in.

oh my lord that’s a rough way to find out about that. I got my trusty Hanes Manuel if I really need it.

On the comments concerning the Haynes & Chilton manuals our dearly departed guru of all things 1st Gen Dakota RalphP would have said " It's not a Chilton Dakota nor is it a Haynes Dakota get a FSM". And he would have told you where to download one if available on this sub-Forum or recommended one from Bishko, either paper or digital (DVD). AFAIK they are still the licensed publisher of the said FSM. Just sayin'.

You are correct on all points sir.
It's the 95 and 96 FSM that are in the FAQ section.
