The quest begins: Intermittent Stall.
What kind of current will be drawn from the battery when the truck is shut off? When I check the parasitic draw on the battery it’s showing 1.35amps. That seems high seeing as there is only the radio drawing current to maintain presets and clock.
1992 2wd LE ext cab, a/c, tilt column, cruise control. Relatively rust free. Only add ons is 7pole trailer plug from previous owner.
I’m in the garage on my nearly dead phone and will post more in another thread soon.
Thanks

Could be anything. On the old chevy trucks, the underhood lamp, or glovebox lamp were usually the culprit. With todays vehicles though, with more computer power than all of nasa during the height of the shuttle program..... there are so many possibilities, it's almost impossible to count.
Well, I went out to double check that I didnt leave a light or fan on while checking with the multi metre. I didn't as it turns out. But when I checked the draw with the metre again there was no amperage being drawn. So that's something.
When I get the photos off my phone I'll start a new thread on the stalling.
Thanks for your help.

So I have another truck with a parasitic draw. I have to leave the battery disconnected so its ready to run when I need it. Anyway your post made me look up the how of it and
It turns out checking the thing is not as hard as I was imagining. I haven't done anything about it yet., waiting for rain to stop, but I found this page and the instructions are simple enough even I can do it.
