Side Mirror

I have motorized side mirrors (or whatever you call the thing that oscillates the mirror). The passenger side has a lame motor. It just stutters and doesn't move the mirror around as designed. I happened to have my original mirror assembly from the original door that got wrecked. I'm thinking I can replace just the motor so I don't have to dig in the door to replace the whole mirror assy. Curious about acouple few things...
1) How does the mirror come out of the assy? I'm assuming it is pressed in and, therefore, pulls off?? No tools??
2) Can I replace just the motor? Is the harness plugged into the motor or hardwired??
3) Anything I'm missing?

And because I don't feel like tearing into the door I will simply put up with the lame side mirror and just keep it in manual mode. I mean really, I adjust that mirror maybe twice a year when someone walks into it. I'll put my working original mirror back in bubble wrap.
