Hello all, Im currently working on my boss AC in his truck, and Im attempting to vacuum it down. Ive installed a new compressor and located the high pressure service port, but I cant seem to locate the low side. Spent a couple hours online and under the hood trying to figure out which location is the hookup, if anyone has any help it would be much much appreciated. Im attaching images for reference - the red circle is high pressure I believe and possible low pressure ports are circled in blue, but neither of these possible low-pressure ports hooked up to the AC manifold gauge set Im renting for this job. Thanks for your time, and hoping to figure this out!
According to the FSM it is supposed to be on top of the compressor. I tried to scan page, but its blurry ....... Its probably been left off of your replacement compressor. If it was me, I would take the clutch cycling switch loose, jump the wires out, and evacuate and charge through that port. BTW the 87 came with R12 and it appears someone has converted the high pressure port.
