I removed the pivot and anchor bolts to the alternator and lifted it up and forward. That gave me access to the sensor with the open end wrench. Took half an hour. It was raining so I'm drying off before I go drive it and wash the splatter from lithium grease spray off the motor.

I didn't mention it but I started it right after I had it back together. When I went back out to drive it and see if the new sensor worked I turned the key and it was dead. I had the buzzing and dash lights but just a click from under hood. So I popped the hood and stared at the motor real hard and that didn't fix it. So I took the cover off the relay box, pushed on the fuses took the relays out put them back in and it started. I had previously posted that I had changed all the fuses inside the cab since it was so old and I wanted to be sure they were in good condition. I think I may replace the 4 relays in that box. But I'd like to know if there is an indication of some other problem in what I described. What should I be looking at? or is it just what it seems a relay on the way out? The only code is 33, the AC clutch.

I have the Sanden 4605 and according to this video it is a "709" style.
What parts do I need to replace? I think the pulley should be fine so I'm guessing the coil and the clutch. there is no clutch on RA. I found one site with a clutch but it does not list my model Sanden. I found another also no sign of my model.
Looks easy enough in the vid. Had to lift the whole AC compressor off and lay it over on the side to do the plenum so that should work as long as I can brace it to pound the parts back on.
This vid is better
Things are not looking good. I just found this on the Sanden website. the "coil service set:" not available. https://sanden.com/product/?model=4605
OK it looks like Sanden replaced 4605 with 4359. The specs I have read say they are the same. Still cannot find a "clutch" set up or the 'coil, 7grv pulley and hub' for it.

I forgot, did you say that was original equipment?

The bearing is likely the highest wear part with the coil 2nd most likely. Wonder if you're going to have to replace the entire compressor if you can't get parts. Did you check EBay? I find lots of NOS on EBay.

So far the only ebay stuff that comes up is whole compressors and they are way expensive. Also if it was just the bearing I think the clutch would still try to work and I hear nothing when I have it on. I haven't rapped the hub to see if that makes it go like the one vid said can happen if it is a spacer issue.

Well, you’re good at chasing down stuff. If you can’t find these parts then it doesn’t exist.

i watched the 2nd vid. Looks pretty simple. If your system is already drained then there is no harm in pulling the compressor to make it easier to repair it on the bench.

BTW, what does a new compressor cost? Almost afraid to ask.

If I post it the people who are being reasonable, at least by comparison, might see it and raise their prices. IDK if the system is empty that is why I am going to pay someone to check it. If I knew I'd just put in new parts and have it evacuated and charged.
Saw another vid and if you ever change only the compressor the trick for the oil is to drain the compressor you remove into a container that measures the oil. Then drain the new one and only put back the same amount that came out of the old one. Thus your system won't be over filled with oil. Many of them come prefilled with oil which would add too much to an existing system that was already filled.
The maker Sanden responded to an email and only said "Please contact one of our distributors" I looked on their website and only one of the websites of those distributors had any clutch parts and they were "reman". No thanks. I may call the other ones later.

Edit- OK I have to add this, on that reman site I found a new clutch assembly when I clicked it and went to the art the price of it was.....$500.76! wtf is the.76 for!!!

Found the clutch assembly that is for my compressor 4605 and for the replacement 4359. I finally stumbled across the first link I found yesterday. It did not specify my compressor. This time I went to home and searched for my truck and the other options for my year came up. The last one had both compressor model numbers.
$120 with delivery.
