The county signed off the first inspection. The crew is back today putting in the windows. Before the roof can go on, they will have the painter show up to paint the eaves. That way no overspray ends up on the shingles. This morning the mortgage company inspector will come and check the progress, and report back to the mortgage company. That should trigger the second disbursement of the structure settlement. I am hoping to see the roof on the building before we leave for the Thanksgiving holiday. Once the roof is on, the electrician should be able to start on the electrical. It was 15 degrees at sunrise this morning. We have a big atmospheric river headed our way this weekend. Lots of rain for us on the valley floor, and they are expecting two feet of snow in Tahoe.

We are in the Carson Valley, just south of Carson City, Nevada's capitol. Our home is at 4800 ft elevation, and we are 35 minutes east of the south end of Lake Tahoe. You can see Heavenly Valley ski resort from our front porch.

Ah, that explains it. Thank You..

What's that white stuff on the ground there??? I haven't seen any of that in a while.

We USED TO have snow on the ground this time of year.... But then, it used to be worthwhile owning a snowmobile in southern michigan too, as riding season was pretty long. These days, if you get a week or two of good riding weather here, you should count yourself as lucky......

Summer temps are mid 90's, winter temps are mid 30's. When it snows, it's usually only an inch or two, and melts the same day. Last winter we got 12" of snow overnight, and that stuck around for a week. The weather here is like a crazy crack *****. You never know what to expect!

That sounds a LOT like michigan.....

Don't like the weather in Michigan? Wait five minutes. It'll change.

The gable vents, windows, and door trim are in. I had the mortgage company inspector out this morning. We will see how that goes when he submits his report to the mortgage company.

The weather is not my friend right now. I doubt there will be any progress until after the holiday weekend. I wish you all a pleasant Thanksgiving weekend, with family or friends, and celebrate what life is all about! Togetherness!

THANKS! I wish you and everyone else a Happy Thanksgiving weekend also. I'm looking forward to the completion of '2.0' & whatever project(s) you start & complete. It's a enlightening & fun thing to 'people watch'! The interactions of the human race never cease to amaze and mystify me. There seems to always be something to look forward to...and that's a good thing.

Gotta agree with this sentiment.
