That's actually starting to look like a real building.

The stucco crew had 2 or 3 guys working on the building. The county inspector is arriving this morning, and weather dependent, the rough coat starts tomorrow. Still no word when the insulation starts to go in, but the drywall arrived early this morning.

This morning the stucco crew came in force! Seven guys got the rough coat on in only two hours. The second shot after clean up, and smoothing out. Once cured, it's ready for the finish coat of stucco!

I think they roll it on. It's like paint with sand in it. They already painted the eaves, roll up door trim, and gable vents, so I don't think it gets sprayed on. I guess I get to find out next week.

The rough coat got a lot lighter after it cured. It's almost the color the finish stucco will be. We had one heck of a time keeping the snow and rain off of the drywall with the storm that came through yesterday. 50 mph wind gusts make it difficult keeping a plastic tarp on top of a couple pallets of drywall.

When do the garage doors show up? I might be tempted to move the drywall inside....

There was an issue trying to get the drywall inside the building. The scaffolding was in the way on the 10 x 10 door, and the forklift boom wouldn't clear the 16 x 8 door. Also, the roll up doors can't be installed until the drywall is in, textured, and painted since the rails bolt over the drywall. Right now they can't tape and mud the drywall due to the low temps. I would think the contractor will hang plastic sheets over the door openings and bring space heaters in. But first we need the insulation and finish electrical. One step at a time.

The insulation is up. Let's hope the freaking wind doesn't pull it back out.
