I have a desk, an engine hoist, a rolling tool box, but no work benches yet. I had three work benches, and a weld table, but they were all destroyed in the fire. So I will need to do something about that. The first priority is to get stuff mounted on the walls. I have been collecting signs and banners. I will worry about a work bench after the stuff is on the walls. It will be a slow process moving in. I also need to mount speakers in the corners near the ceiling (I don't have them yet). I had the electrician run speaker wires from each corner a down the inside of the wall near where the desk is going. I need to buy a stereo, a desktop PC, and a bunch of other stuff.

You should have insurance money for that kind of stuff, right?

Not yet, but eventually. I am still working on the inventory of all my personal property - tools, equipment, etc. 45 years of accumulated stuff takes a while to identify and write down. Even more so when the items have been destroyed by fire. The insurance said I have three years to submit the property claim. I won't take near that long, but it is still a huge task. As off this point, the insurance has paid out the structure claim, but not the property inside the building.

Two coats are on the stem wall. The walls will get touch up work, and two coats go on the floor tomorrow.

I am more than pleased with how it came out. No more burn stains!

Wow, that looks REALLY nice..... Is there some texture to that? Or is it gonna be one of these 'frictionless when wet' deals?

Yeah, it's just gloss. I didn't want the traction pellets. Ever drop a small screw or washer? With the speckles, you would never find it! Walking to the shop with snow on the ground will require some caution when entering the building. A large floor mat with some type of moisture absorbing material on top will be needed. At my age, hitting the concrete floor would not be a good time...

Oh, I hear ya on that one..... Even frozen ground is a really bad idea.....

Not so very long ago, I passed out at the bank.... No clue why. First time that's ever happened.... I dropped like a rock to the ..... marble.... floor..... That was not fun. Paramedics checked me out, didn't find anything wrong, so, I just went home. Hasn't happened again at least..... and the bruises have finally faded.
