Really? That is 190 on and 175 off. The other two temps higher are 200 on -185 off and 210 on and 195 off
my Tstat is 195

Went back and re-read your post 9......
I assume you are only using 1 sensor. That being said,
I would want the sensor before the thermostat if possible.
If not, the next best choice, would be the upper radiator hose.
The problem with a sensor that does not shut off, above the engine thermostat, will basically cause the fan to run all the time.
With a 195 thermostat, I would want a 220 on and 205 off.

FWIW, An example of a factory car, and this is pulling from memory.
1991 corvette the fan comes on around 220.

Shows how much I know that seems too high to me. I figured it would not come on until the Tstat opened since I was going to put it in the hose from the Tstat to the top of radiator. Highest I can find is the 210-195.
BTW do you happen to know what is a good key on wire to splice into?

On my '93 there's not a good location of a switched wire in the engine comaprtment. I just ran a piggyback fuse holder from my cigar lighter fuse in the cab and ran the wire out from there (thru a rubber grommet in the firewall). EZPZ. Give me your address in PM and I'll mail you a couple. I have more than I'll ever use.

Thanks I found this vid and I suspect you used fuse #9.
I think I will get a fuse tap for this.
Thanks for the offer I'll let you know. I am going to ask the seller to let me trade the one I requested for the 210-195 one.

I looked online and went to O'Reilly's. They did not have a 15 amp fuse tap with the wire. They did not have the Dorman brass metal fuse tap as shown online. They had something similar made of aluminum. I could not get it to slide into the slot. I figure the aluminum was too soft and catching. I figured out the radio worked off a 10 amp fuse and went back and got the 10 amp wired fuse tap they had. Installed it and it is hot 12 amp with the key on. Key off I get .01which I figure must be the clock. So that is ready.

Have the rad and the wiring kit awaiting the fan this evening. Probably get to work on it tomorrow. Hopefully I can get the switch exchanged quickly.
I found this page that has an explanation of how to choose the temperature range for your switch. They apparently sell similar kits over cross the pond. https://shop.stoneyracing.com/univer...h-adapter-kit/ So 93 ragtop you were right of course

Edit- Imagine my surprise when it did not arrive and I checked the tracking to find it no longer said 'out for delivery' but that it was still in Ohio. It is again marked out for delivery today but I won't hold my breath.

Well the fan arrived. I am disappointed as the shroud is shorter than confirmed by the seller. I wonder if RA measurements are correct. RA also raised the price by over $20 since you posted that link 93ragtop. See pics. It is only 22 wide and 16 tall so it doesn't sit on the rail of the top and bottom tank like it would if it were 18" tall. I expected that and figured I could make mounts to hold it there.
Hey 93ragtop was this your experience? If so how did you cope? I wonder of the RA fan would be the same? The fan fits on the area where the fins are with room to spare all round. I do not want to do that zip tie through the fins mounting. It needs to be detachable. Now I ponder....
Anyway I am exchanging the wiring kit switch for a 210-195 it is in the mail back to the seller. The seller also told me I need a 15amp switched circuit so I have ordered some 15amp add a circuit fuse taps since Napa is the only one who has them and they want $20 for one. I ordered a pack of 5 for $7 shipped.

Question? The measurements on the RA link Ragtop provided. Are they read as I have the tape in the pictures above? or are they read by the ears that stick out beyond the rectangular shroud portion?
I feel like I should be able to figure it out, I think it is the rectangle, but I keep questioning my read.

Update- The fan is "out for delivery" I've heard that before. Turns out that Ford had 4 different fans for 4 different Taurus in 95. The 3.0 V6 OHV has the Four Seasons fan 75230 that is 27.5 inches wide and 16.5 tall. Standard responded to my email and confirmed that the measurement is for the shroud and does not include the ears that stick out. Me and my suspicious mind I got the plug for it too.
Turns out the fan that was not the measurement I expected will work for my ram50. It also turns out that Ford made the plug for it obsolete. Motorcraft WPT-706. I'm having a heck of a time finding one. Some guy in NM offered one to me for $30 when he was selling the fan for $40! I hate to cut the plug on a new fan but if people keep on being greedy as heck I will. A couple places I called off Hollander parts would have let me into the yard to just take it for free but they are states away. Some guy in Fresno said he would send someone into the yard and call me to let me know if they have it. No call yet.
So that fan that was too small, Four Seasons 35317 fits from 1988 to 1995 the Lincoln Continental V6 3.8L, Mercury Sable V6 3.8L and Ford Taurus V6 3.8L with that round plug with 3 blades. The third blade horizontal where the round ground is on a regular plug. https://www.stockwiseauto.com/motorc...otor-connector Seems like no big deal right? Until you can't find one.
The Carparts dot com info email responded to me with a good instruction. He suggested that to find the part I want if it is not listed, look for whatever it is attached too, then ask the seller if they have your part. You might be surprised how many people have difficulty when I tell them I do not want the fan, I want the plug from the harness that plugs into it. "Do you still have that car? Can I get the plug?" Turns out a lot of folks are selling the after market versions new OE on Hollander too. So the car doesn't actually exist even with pictures of a wreck.
