Rear Brake Drum To Disc Conversion
I have a 1995 Dakota in looking to put disc breaks in the rear instead of drum. Conversation kits I find go upwards of $700. I have a junk dakota lying around, and I was wondering if it's even remotely possible I could use the front brake rotors and calipers on the front of the spare, and put them onto the rear.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've never needed a conversation kit. Most of the time, my family tries to keep me from talking too much. (Sorry, I'm being silly again. When I'm serious it tends to scare people.)
I think the best way to convert to 4 wheel disc would be to swap a later rear end into the truck. Whether one will bolt in easily, I don't know. You'd have to change the master cylinder too as discs use more fluid. I generally try to stay with what the factory designed, although not always.
