Default 89 Dodge Dakota Shelby

Putting a 360 in my 89 Dakota can I use the transmission in it? And if I can what kind of issue am I going to have. Thanks for the help

What transmission is in it? What current motor is in it??

Trans should hold up then. Is it an LA 360??? If it's a magnum, what are you planning for fuel/ignition?

Keep in mind though, the 360 is externally balanced, and how they accomplished that changed over the years.

I’m have a EZ EFI Fast Fuel,from Edelbrock and 61775 heads and a 20-746-9 cam all from Edelbrock and 408 Stroker kit

Ooo..... Do you know what trans is in your truck?? That's gonna be a pretty potent motor....

Does the EZ EFI do ignition as well?

That translates to a 42RH.... That is NOT going to last long behind a 408.....

46RH. Just a meaner version of the trans that is in there now.
