I put MSD on my 360, and I dont notice a damn thing except a slight better throttle response. I know its noticable on mildly built motors, but I personally cant tell any difference at all while cruising or accelerating. Maybe other people do, I dunno.

A V8 throttle body will give you move vacume to your brakes, and it will seem like you have more power at first. Once the computer learns though it may feel kinda sluggish from a stop. It lets more air in, which is great for faster speeds and higher RPM's. I would try finding one from a salvage yard. What year is your truck, I may have one, send me a picture of your linkage setup.

Ok, I dont have one to fit your truck, yours is like mine and its harder to find now, the later years dont hook up the same. Try car-part.com. It searches salvage yard inventories.

I put a complete MSD system on my truck, only noticed a quicker throttle response, and it seemed to idle a tad smoother. If your truck is stock I would probably go only as far as wires and coil. The MSD ignition boxes really aren't needed. And I would only swap the coil if yours was getting pretty old.

The box isnt worth the $ unless you have a built motor.

Jegs or Summit sell them. Probably a few more places too. You can probably order it from your local autopart store. Call around.

If you want an MSD coil with a Mopar sticker, get the Mopar coil. Part P4876732, $38.50+shipping at mopartsracing.com. It is a black Blaster coil.
