if I'm not mistaken, these are bushwacker fenderflares. Which most of us know are discontinued. And ill finally have a set tomorrow. For a ridiculous price. As well as rust free fenders and inner fenders. Also for a ridiculous price. Ill post prices after theyre all picked up.

yes. Going to strip them to bare metal, prime, paint, clear the outside. And por15 or truck liner the insides and outside bottom by the bumper. Fender flares will get body color match to my truck. Quite please with finding the flares. Been looking forever. Hard to find someone that has them, and then wants to sell them for a good price. Let a lone finding them in driving distance.

I wouldn't stip 'em to bare metal. The factory process for paint is actually pretty good, cleaning them up so you have a good surface for the primer to stick to works really well.

thanks ill do that. Theyre a light color so gray primer would be easy. And I'm painting them white. So that'll be good.

Ditto on the above comment. As a rule of thumb nothing sticks to original body metal better than what came from the factory, that's why stripping a car completely is not such a good idea, that is unless you don't have another option.

Actually on the Dakota I prefer no fender 'flare' at all, they just catch junk and debris and then rust underneath...badly. If those are what you want good for you...
