Default recovery points (offroaders get in here)

ok so i'm getting into offroading, i'm saving up for the wincher(front) and multicarrier(rear) bumpers, but i need recovery points now to go on any club sanctioned rides (suncoast flatlanders)

but until then i need 2 points up front and one in the rear (getting a trailer hitch)

what are you guys using for front recovery points? (plz post pics if you have them)

thanks guys

You may be able to see my tow hooks in this pic if you have a high res screen. The only place I could get the hooks is way up underneath and I picked up some very heavy duty ones from a junkyard for about $10. A few bucks at the autoparts store for locking washers and grade 8 nuts and bolts. Line up the hooks where you want them and drill your holes. Other than that the only easy thing to do is get a front hitch receiver and that can hurt your approach angle...

I guess it would be a good idea to post the pic. The hooks are on the frame way underneath and they get the job done (see my gallery I have a couple shots of them in action ).

Alright heres some close ups. If you nmotice I put them next to the holes in the frame in order to get a wrench in there easily. I need to take them off and get some clips to hold a tow strap on and also get a cleaner look by putting the studs into the frame rather than jutting down as you can see one bolt stud broke off (probably on a rock).

Green not to pick on you [sm=laughat.gif]

But I dont think that was a good location. It is better to install on the frame. That is the cross member and you can bend it. This willresult in a twisted frame. [:@]

Not to mention it takes away from your ground clearance.

Got any ideas for where to put them at Hydra??? They did the trick for me fine but I'm open to suggestions. Oh and duel it doesn't take away from the ground clearance at all...

Really. I would have thought it would have takin way ground clearance. I've tried to find a good place but with no results. I will look into it further and find a good spot. I still think that cutouts are the way to go though.
