freeze plug
I'm changing out my water pump and noticed a freeze plug (front right) is leaking. I did a search on replacing it and from what I see I basically take a socket and tap it into the block. Then I pull it out with a needle nose. Pardon my ignorance but I'm not sure I understand. If it is big enough to seal the block. How would it be small enough to come out?
Also if I can get it out when I replace it I just tap in the new one until flush. Do I put any type of sealant on it. Thanks in advance

Some people use RTV . But anything is okay as long it is sticky, and will seal. Be sure when you put the new freeze plug in it matches up with the others. Don't drive it in to far.
