Great ideas on wrapping the cold ac line with heat-reflective tape - i initially used aluminum foil, but since reading what some have done hear in REALLY insulating it from the engine heat, I am going to take more drastic measures to insulate that cold ac line from the engine heat in hopes of getting some DRASTICALLY colder air in my cabin. Just the thin layer of aluminum foil i did even helped significantly, so I anticipate more effective insulating measures will only help - and ditto for the fuel lines - thx all!

I think the '01 Ds have the rubber wrapping around the a/c line already, unless i'm mistaken. Does anyone have pics of '01 a/c lines?

Along the lines of this thread, I did the same line wrapping, I used the aluminum tape as described earlier, only mine was from Lowe's and PVC Insulation tubing was also tie wrapped. Still a bit early for full results but so far the A/C feels cooler. Photos will be in a upcoming thread, after photos come back. I got something like a five foot roll any other places I can put it on the vehicle to get insulation?

There is two crome line comming off the compressor. The one coming from the front (Condensor) like a radiator on the front is the wrong one. You want the one going to the rear passenger side cab like in the picture. It should be cold. Wrap it from the compressor to the firewall going into the cab.
